QUEEN OF THE LITTLE CARPATHIANS: VÁPENNÁ

Cotini and Boii. Two major Celtic tribes used to live in Slovakia.

Cotini were probably identical or made significant part of so-called Púchov culture.

The Celts built large oppida in Bratislava.

In Liptov.

And in the shadows of Little Carpathian´s trees. Near to the Plavecké Podhradie village. Under the Vapenna peak.

And its name was Pohanská.

Silver coins with the names of Celtic kings, the so-called Biatecs, represent the first known use of writing in Slovakia.

- by car using D2 highway to Lozorno, then routes E65/route 501 to Plavecké Podhradie village, approximately one hour drive from Bratislava
